Like anything in life, you need to practice to get better at something. The same goes for when its your responsibility to teach and guide others, especially children. There are many courses available to teach you the fundamental skills of coaching and leading a team. There are many organisations that offer free and paid courses.
Coaching Certificate Reimbursement
Investing in our futureWe want all our coaches to be equipped with all the knowledge to guide our players. That’s why in 2024, we have introduced the Coaching Reimbursement Program.
All coaches registered with us in the current season will receive a full 100% reimbursement when completing selected courses and accreditation. The approved courses are listed below.
To be reimbursed you must:
-Be a registered coach in the current football season
-Undertake the approved course within the current season
-Provide us with a copy of the paid invoice
– Provide us with a copy of the certificate

*We will only reimburse the cost of the certificate. We will not reimburse any other costs associated with the course, including but not limited to processing fees, travel, wages or meals. Only the approved courses listed below will be reimbursed. Any other courses completed with Football South Coast, FootballNSW, or any other approved accredited course provider will not be reimbursed without express written approval provided by the president of SJFC.

Foundation of Football Certificate
The new FFA Foundation of Football Certificate is now available for registration in preparation for the 2024 season. Aimed at volunteer parents and coaches working with advanced, beginner to competent level players or players aged up to approximately fifteen (15) years old. This course is a prerequisite for the C Diploma.
