winning starts on the training pitch

“Set your goals high, and don’t stop till you get there.”

Training is vital to any successful sports team. Training helps increase your fitness, build skills and game IQ and most importantly foster friendships and trust with your team mates.

Visit the Field Layout page to view the latest training field layouts.

If you aren't sure when or where you are training, reach out to your coach or team manager.

If you are a coach or team manager and would like to request a change then please contact coach@sjfc.com.au.

Weekly Training

Your weekly training sessions will be organised by your coach or team manager. Your training sessions will be dependant on you and your team's age and ability. Most teams will have 1 or 2 training sessions per week ranging for 30 to 90 minutes. If you have any questions about your training then reach out to your team manager or coach.

Coaching Sessions

Sessions designed for various skill levels of football.

Visit the Coaching Sessions page to see some examples of what a training session might look like.

What to bring

Each team is slightly different and trains a different way. We encourage all players to wear their football boots, shin pads and socks. The coach will normally provide all equipment required but check to make sure you don't need to bring anything else with you.

Don't forget your drink bottle and warm clothes as the temperature can drop quickly once the sun goes down.

We have a range of training shirts, track suits and jackets available for sale in our Online Store
