Referee

We are always on the hunt for more referees. With up to 16 games happening at our fields at any one time, we need a wide range of referees from beginners through to advanced. If you are interested in becoming a referee for SJFC then read below.

Step 1

Online Laws of the game

Football Australia has a free online course to provide you with an introduction to the laws of the game. Every new referee must start with this free course. Football NSW has great resources explaining how to register and complete this step

Step 2

Level 4 Referee Course

This is the entry level course and involves theory and practical learning. Once you have completed this course you will be qualified to be a referee. You can find local courses run from your Football Australia learning portal, or click the link below.

Step 3

Apply to Referee

Once you have completed your referee course you can then apply to referee for Football South Coast in the winter season, or SJFC in the summer season. Click the link below to see Football South Coast's referee expression form.
