Things are heating up
Summer Football is back at SJFC. For the 2023 season SJFC will be providing an in house competition for Summer Football for all age groups from U6 through to U16. Summer Football is perfect for all skill levels to have fun in a more relaxed atmosphere and to make some new friends.
Registration has now changed to a wait list while we form teams. Registration will be accepted for players already named in a team. If you are not already in a team, your registration may or may not be accepted based on number of teams looking for additional players.
Whats different about Summer Football?
SJFC will be offering 3 formats of Summer Football.
U6/U7
4 v 4 + substitutes (no goalkeeper)
Minimum 4 players per team, no maximum
Two 15/20 minute halves
Field is 30m x 20m
U8-U11
7 v 7 + substitutes
Minimum 7 players per team, no maximum
Two 15/20 minute halves
Field is 40m x 30m
U12-U16
6 v 6 + substitutes
Minimum 6 players per team, no maximum
Two 15/20 minute halves
Field is 40m x 30m
Girls Comp
In 2023 we wil have a girls comp across age groups U8 - U14's.
We are still waiting on more registrations for u6,u7,u15,u16.
If we have uneven team numbers then will will give the teams the option to play a mixed game or have a bye.

Gather a team or sign up as an individual and make some new friends in this 10 week season. If you have a team or part of a team then each player will need to register individually and then the coach/manager will need to fill out the form below prior to team formations.

Key Rules/Info
- Field Setup – All teams that play on the field first are expected to setup that field. All teams that play the final game on the field are expected to packdown their field. You will be informed by the match schedule if you are on setup or packdown duties of your field each week.
- Team Uniforms – Teams are to provide their own matching shirts. There is no requirement for numbers or logos, but the shirts must be matching. If you do not have matching jerseys, you will need to use coloured bibs. Shorts and socks do not have to match.
- Borrowing Players – You can borrow any SJFC 2023 Summer Football registered player from the same or lower age group.
- Referees – Most games from U8-U16 will have a referee provided by SJFC. If a referee is unavailable, a spectator may step in to referee the game. Referees’ calls are final. U6/U7 games will be led by a parent from each team.
- Social, Not Competitive – SJFC Summer Football is a social competition. Scores are not recorded.
- Jewellery – No jewellery or watches are to be worn as per the rules in our standard winter competition.
- Training – No training is allocated. Summer Football is a social competition to have some fun and make some friends. Training is not required.
- Refunds – Prior to 1st September – 100% | Prior to October 11th – 50% | On or after October 11th – No Refunds
Team Formation
All players are to register individually above. The team organiser must fill out the below form to register a team.
You can register as a full team, partial team, or a group of friends looking for a team.
Do not submit this form until you have finalised who you are playing with. Please do not put in placeholders as these records will be matched against PlayFootball registrations. A team will not be accepted as a full team if it does not have the minimum number of players. A team will not be accepted as a partial or full team if you are still waiting on confirmation of players.
Team Formation is now closed. We are working through all registrations and will place all individual players in a team.
